THURSDAY 8TH DECEMBER

TASK

Imagine that Lane has to leave work for a short period and writes his instructions to a
temporary replacement. Write Lane's instructions about how to deal effectively with
Algernon.

Give careful consideration to your language choices, form and style, in order to convey a
sense of Lane's voice and attitudes.

(45 marks)

Please write up your work directly onto the blog and post in advance of Monday's lessons. You work should take 90 hour minimum (CORRECTION 90MINS! - sorry to scary you) and be at least 500 words in length. Those whose work is not to an appropriate standard and doesn't appear on the blog will NOT be watching the film of the play. Those who are not in Thursday's lessons and choose NOT to do the work will also miss watching the film.

NEXT LESSON

WE WILL BE COMPLETING READING THE PLAY, SO PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU BRING YOUR COPY WITH YOU.

We will also be writing and performing short scenes to a specific brief.

As we are coming to the end of our study of Importance can I remind you all that you must all have a copy of A Streetcar Named Desire by the beginning of next term and ideally have read it.
